Dr. Adam Gustafson
Dr. Adam Gustafson has had great success at many levels of the music industry. As a composer, Gustafson’s works have been performed by amateur and professional groups throughout the United States. In 2012, his operatic vignette, Sarai’s Dilemma was selected as the Best New Work of the 2012 Season by the Vox 3 ensemble, a collective of professional vocalists in Chicago, IL. As a director, Dr. Gustafson currently oversees the music and theater programs at Penn State University in Harrisburg, where he conducts two choirs and manages all theatrical productions on campus. As a performer, Adam has sung and played guitar professionally throughout the Midwest.
Dr. Gustafson earned his Bachelor of Science in Music from MacMurray College, received his Masters Degree in Music Composition from the Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University, and attained his Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Arts from Ohio University.
